I've had some of mine for several years and they are still going strong! I also have to say that I don't baby my shoes and I don't even have the thin rubber soles put on until I absolutely have to if this helps at all. I'm sure they would probably be even better if you babied them.

I expect 10-years out of my shoes. I guess that's extreme, but I rotate my shoes and if I repeat an outfit I wear different shoes from the last wearing. I try never to wear black shoes except when absolutely necessary, which is why I only have a few pairs---to cover styles, fabric and toes.

Have you any shoes that are still going strong after 10 years?? I just got started into the whole designer shoes thing and am hoping mine last a while too... lol... I'm too scared to wear them. :sweatdrop:

Anyone had designer brand shoes last them over 10 years???

designer shoes are definitely value for money in my opinion. I wear my ferragamo's nearly everyday in rain, hail or shine and have had them for 2 years without any problems. The leather still looks fantastic. I've just resoled them once too! Shoes from steve madden or some other brand do not me more than 2 months of constant wearing if lucky.

A loooong time. I got my first designer shoes three years ago (Thierry Rabotin "Wave" sandals) and they're up for their first repairs. I think I wore them for a few months straight and all through disneyland. One of the little straps that hold down the big straps in place after you put it through a buckle fell off inside my house and unfortunately I haven't found it... guess they'll have to make a new one.

My mom has plenty of shoes that have lasted her for far beyond what she thought they would. Her first pair of designer heels (Black Patent Charles Jourdan) are at least 20 years old and look great.

And against all odds, my favorite pair of tennis shoes (Black Suede Puma Californias) have somehow lasted 5+ years.
