The denim is still part of the current collection. I’m just wondering how long they keep collections in store before sending to the outlets or otherwise getting rid of them
Gucci make decisions on the dynamics of sales/stock.
Even new bags trickle in throughout the season (strategy
and C-19 related) rather than Gucci present the whole season in one go as they used to. Although less bags are made of each design than there used to be they can still do transfers if the bag is 'out'.
If a one/variation doesn't sell well it'll go to the outlets after a season.
If it sells well and consistently they'll keep from one season to the next. SAs are only given info a few weeks before next season starts.
If it sells in one territory more than another, bags will be shipped to where they need them. Special bags do the rounds of flagship stores as a matter of course.
If sales were fast once and then slow significantly of a line they may keep black and a few classic colours only for the next season (trad. better sellers).
You can only speculate on the denim version, but I see they've done more denim in RTW in the same blue/white cw so you could be lucky. A year is pretty long for seasonal variation but then denim is very Summer friendly.
SAs should know what's being kept SS22 and what's going to outlet/sold out, so they will prob know by now. However they'll always want you to buy quickly/quicker.
If you can buy now, do it. Gucci have a really annoying habit of raising their prices randomly again and again.
