Hi all! Does anyone have pictures or can describe how their Perlee Sweet Clover ring is aging? I want to get this ring for everyday wear, and I’m particularly concerned about the plain gold part catching dirt over time. Wonder how it looks when it’s no longer shiny? (Pls see purple arrow in attached pic.)

Otherwise, my other choice of ring is the Cartier Love Ring Small Paved. TIA!

I got my clover ring which has more metal than the sweet, and have been wearing it every day. Dust and oils do accumulate around the diamond motifs but not enough to bother me and keep me from wearing it. After I clean it warm dishwashing liquid and a soft toothbrush it looks new again, and then get dirty soon. It’s the nature of the design of this ring and I can accept and live with it. It’s so gorgeous it’s worth it. I also have a skinny Cartier pave love ring. I love this one so much more. But that’s just me. Good luck on your decision.

Here it is today and I haven’t cleaned it since yesterday. Zoom in to see the dirt. These are not scratches.

Thanks for your tip about at-home maintenance for this ring. I can see your efforts pay off. Your WG is beautiful and shinny! 😍

I have both the WG and RG versions of this ring and have been very happy with them. They are comfortable to wear, have a low profile that works for typing on a computer or household stuff, and yet have really nice sparkle that I get compliments on. Great rings!

While I have only had them for about two months each (the WG slightly longer), I have worn at least one of them pretty regularly since then. Not quite daily, but pretty often. A light rinse in soapy water or a gentle toothbrush cleaning with soap and water gets them right back to as shiny again.

I think this ring looks great in all 3 metals, but either RG or YG might be more carefree for daily wear.

Happy to know they are comfortable to wear, and thanks for your response!

I have worn mine 24/7 for stretches at a time, over a year in total when it is all added up. It is one of the most comfortable rings that I have, but still makes a statement while being discreet. Mine has a little bit of tarnish between the floral motifs, but I’ve also never polished it. It’s not noticeable really, but if you look at it closely you can see. My regular size Perlee Clover is the same way (also worn 24/7 for stretches for over a year total), but once I polished it with a polishing cloth, it looked great again. Guilloche and hammered are harder to keep looking totally spotless, even with a polishing cloth/brush because the tarnish seems to cling to the textured surface more (hard to get in between the tiny details of the pattern), but the perlees are flat metal, so they are easy to clean!

Have had my YG perlee sweet clovers ring for about 1.5 years now and wear it often, to work and daily errands. It’s such a great and simple ring, easy to use in any situation from casual to formal. Haven’t noticed any damage or wear/tear on it. I think it’s a much better option than the ubiquitous love rings.

You’re right that the love ring is a bit too popular. Thanks for your reply jk777!
