I'm thinking of buying an 18KT GOLD piece of jewelry from LINKS OF LONDON.

How is their quality for gold?

Are they a well regarded brand, or a bit naff?

Any info would be great. Thanks!

It's probably seem as a decent mid to higher range option in the uk. I think a couple of years ago it was a bit more exclusive/not as well known, but its now sold through high street jewellers as well as its own stores so it's becoming more ubiquitous.

I have a silver charm necklace that I bought a couple of years ago and I love it.

I think this is fair, it's a higher-mid range option.

Kate Middleton wore the Links of London Hope egg earrings in her engagement photos as far as I know.

So funny, I just walked by their store, at a mall in NJ, and the pieces were so beautiful I had to go in and look. Really really beautiful things. My only problem with them, and I have 3 pieces by Roberto Coin and I think the same thing applies, is that I think you pay a lot for the name. I think the pieces are high quality I just wonder if you bought the same type of thing from a regular jewelry store how much would it be! I do realize some things are unique to them.

Thanks everyone. I had a 20% off coupon (which is widely available on the web if you do a search) and I used it just now to buy an 18K gold charm bracelet and an 18kt plain round tag charm. The discount made it a bit lower than I found shopping around at other jewelers, assuming the quality is good. They don't list the weight of the pieces on their website. I'll report back as soon as it arrives.
