How easy is it to change the posts on a pair of diamond stud earrings?

I have a pair of screwback diamond earrings that I wish to switch to pushlock backs.

Can a jeweller just replace the posts, or do they have to reset the diamonds altogether?

They can replace the posts. I had previously bought diamond stud earrings that were regular push backs and had them converted to screwbacks.

Find a jeweler that uses a laser solder. Heat soldering can change the color of the metal.
