Kate Spade How durable is the nylon?

I have been hunting for a good work bag. I found the universal laptop bag on sale this weekend. I have never had a Kate Spade bag before. I purchased it in black. How durable is the nylon and is there any water resistance?

I have a nylon Sam purse and have used it consistently for over a year. There is no wear and tear showing at all.
