How does ostrich hold up?

Hi there, not sure if I'm posting this in the right place...mods please move it if I'm not! I was just wondering if anyone can tell me how ostrich leather holds up? Is it durable? Can it "take a beating"? Is it something you can use everyday? And how does it look over time? Thanks guys!

I don't have any experience with ostrich leather, but I'm eyeing up an ostrich bag at the moment, so I'd like to know too!

I only have an ostrich watch band and it definitely wore much more quickly than the one with the leather band. Keep in mind a watch band gets a lot of wear though, but it seems more delicate than leather. That's all I can tell you, no ostrich bags for me--too $$$ ! But they I do like how they look and all.
