Is it a matter of maintaining a good relationship with an SA? Or, is it a matter of being in the store at the right time? Can I just call up my local boutique and ask when their next sale will be or is that frowned upon? Do they "save" the sale for special clients or can anyone shop during the sale?

Thanks!

The sales aren't at each boutique, they're at one or two locations in a country and only at a certain time.

For example, the Atlanta store will get notified as to which items to send to New York/New Jersey for the sale. When I asked about Twilly scarf rings, I was told that they'd been ordered by corporate to send them all up there.

What is the forecast for NY sale on small leather items?
I would gladly pick some items, but if they are not planned to be on sale, I am not sure it's worth the wait in line (and to my regret I do not receive VIP invitations, despite multiple pucrchases)

The Houston boutique has a sale twice a year. It's primarily invitation only, mostly RTW, shoes, hats, and gloves. It's hardly worth traveling for, and it can't remotely compare to the one in NYC, but they DO have sales at many of the smaller boutiques.

It is by invitation only. You receive an invitation by mail if you are a regular at your H store. The first day or two is usually only open to VIPs and then the following is open to the general public.

Thanks for the info, twigz! I'm not quite a regular at this point, but I hope to be soon!
