How do you make twisted leather strips on a bag, like the Gustto Torsa?

  1. Anyone know?

  2. I haven’t seen this bag in real life. But judging from the picture I can say how I would construct it. As far as I can tell the material twists 180 degrees. I would cut the material in strips just leaving a bit at the end uncut, you could cut it all the way but not doing so makes it a bit easier to stitch. After you stitch one side, the one were you left a section uncut. Then you twist the strands I would use a bit of clue to hold them in place. Clue is a leather crafters best friend because we can’t use needles like people working with textiles.

    Hope it helps.
  3. ^ Thanks so much. I will look into it!
