So I am in Canada for work and will be back to the US in a year or so.
I baby my stuff like no other, and always store them in their original box. When we move back to the US, I'm planning on putting the jewelries, bags in their original box to carry on bag. But would the security flag them, thinking they are gifts or new?????
I have receipt to prove that they were purchased and used, but I don't like the idea of them flagging me and searching/touching my sfuff.

Will they flag me just because there are bunch of boxes with jewelries ans bags? Does anyone have ab experience? Someone suggests to remove boxes but I want to keep them that way if possible to minimize the damage while transporting. Of course I'd have recipt handy in case they question my items but would they???

Are you flying?
Will you be moving everything in one go?
Personally when I fly with jewelry, I put everything into a travel jewelry case and keep it on my person, not even carry on.
Bags, I take carry on, I nestle them and then I use a hard shell carryon bag.
Then you can ship the boxes, or pack them.
Airport security will X-ray everything first. They’re not looking for potentially smuggled bags and jewelry, they’re looking for contrabanned and explosives. It’s your customs officials when entering that may want to see receipts, but that’s usually when you return from being abroad, not when entering the first time, but regardless, you’ll be there if/when they search, so it’s not so bad.

If you are driving, just have your documents and you’ll be fine.

Edited to add: I’ve worked hand in hand with CBSA at the border and airport. Feel free to pm me if you need a hand getting organized.

Thank you

I just don't like to sign myself up for troubles like I've been in Canada for over 2 yrs and of course I bought some goodies here but I plan on not buying anything a year before my departure

Do you know by chance if I have to declare everything I'm bringing to the US from canada??? I've confirmed that I don't have to pay any taxes if the items were used more than a year, but declaring is another story. I'll have recipt ready in case they want to see, but I'm wondering declaring will just me asking for trouble and search with the items that I'm exempt from paying duties. ... like who wouldn't want to see the item if I write Hermes bag purchased 2 years ago, Rolex purchased 1 and a half year ago ... stuff like that in an inventory list. ..

@Bunnybunny88 this all really depends on how the items are being brought with you.
Now, I’m more versed with coming back to Canada, but a quick read on USBP sounds like the process is similar.
I’m assuming you aren’t flying with everything you own in your luggage, right?
For customs purposes you do need an itemized breakdown. Will each item get inspected? Maybe.
Will you be there when it does?
Possibly.
There just isn’t enough information in your question to answer anything accurately.
But simply put, expect to declare everything. You have the paperwork so there no worries.
For jewelry items I recommend having upto date appraisals with your proof of date of purchase and have things organized and ready. Keep it with you, so don’t ship. For bags, if it were me, I’d keep them with me too. But you didn’t say how many you had, or how you were travelling.

Pack each jewelry piece in a plastic pouch and keep it in your handbag (large one)! Never let it out of your sight. Ship the boxes. Check with customs first before leaving. It shouldn’t be a problem, especially if you are moving. FedEx and insure handbags to your new address.
