How do you get past the sunglasses sticker shock?

lol...
most people new to LV will feel the so called "sticker shock" on most of their items....but...
after a few purchases, it will feel totally normal, and will only leave you wanting more....that's why many of us are addicted !!!!!

I think if you feel the $600 is too much, then maybe you're not ready for that purchase....yet.
After a few purchases with prices you are "comfy" with, (lol) you will feel ready to buy something if you love it, regardless of it's price.

I have 4 bags and a wallet, but the fact that it is sunglasses I guess it what is bothering me. I just feel that there is more substance to a bag or something. I don't know how to explain it. I have no problem chunking the money down for a bag, lol.

I'm probably the wrong person to give advice as I bought Millionaires for like $1000. However, they are in a league of their own, literally. Louis Vuitton frames are made my Louis Vuitton, and the lenses by another company that specialises in that.
The Luxottica group however completely made shades for Chanel, Ray-Ban, Burberry, Prada and much more!
The Safilo group make shades for Gucci, Dior, Marc Jacobs, Armani and much more!
So when you buy "designer" shades from other brands you are really buying shades from a mass producing sunglass-making company, thus lowering the price.
Louis Vuitton shades are hand-made and actually created by the company itself instead of being outsourced to save money. I think that justifies the price difference IMO. Check out.

Em.. I understand what u mean.. I have been through the same thing before I got my own pair.. cant justify spending so much on a pair of sunglasses but after I got it .. My honey square obession .. I end up getting my DBF another pair.. the millionaires... quality wise em.. honestly the detailings are great ...
and they are just TDF....

but remember...

Go with something u are comfortable with .. and sunglasses are meant to be toss around anywayz....

$600? No, don't think I could pay that for a pair of sunglasses... You can almost buy a new bag for that price!
I'm going to buy Dior Overshine - it's húge, but I love it!

And Razorbackbelle0 - Gucci sunnies for 60 bucks?! :wtf:

I don't wear sunglasses much since I'm always working so i only go out at night when the moon is out so i can't deal with the prices when ill barely be wearing them a handful of times.

Initially I was :-o about the price too; Mum beat me to it and got the Obsessions and with her having a pair I can totally understand why they cost so much. First point: they have eastern and western bridges (a God-send for Asians with noses like me!); Second point: the lenses offer protection that only sports sunnies offer. So you can give your eyes the ultimate protection and still look fabulous! :yahoo:

I paid $500 for my Ferragamos, which now have 4 diamontes missing, plus one of the lense wasn't cut properly and has popped out a little :cursing: I have put in a request for the Evidence eastern, and am fully prepared to save up the $895AU I need for it - I think you should go for it!

i haven't been able to bring myself to break down and buy a pair yet, even though the bindis have been called my name for a long time now. the most i've spent on non prescription sunglasses is 350- but i easily spend 600 on prescription glasses and sunnies with lenses and frames. i think thats why i have a hard time spending so much on a non prescription pair...

To me LV sunnies are not about price, as they are amazingly well crafted and most are timeless.THey are of a much higher quality than chanel dior and bvlgari for example (and ray bans which are all made in the same factory.) I felt like the price was much more proper for the LVs than for the Diors and Chanels, even though LVs are more expensive.

I don't own LV sunnies but I do have many pairs of sunnies that are 500$ and up. If you really want them, just buy them. It is better than going back and forth over something you really want.

I know my pair is still on the lower side of LV eyewear price spectrum but they are quite different from the Guccis and Prada that I have owned in the past. I dunno if I'm bias on the brand since I am currently in my LV phase but it just fits my face right. It's a big purchase but once you have it I know you'll LVoe it!!! GoodLVck.
