How do you actually get an MJ bag authenticated?

Do I have to take it to the Marc Jacobs store? Are there any other options?

I bought a black Elise on ebay, and now I'm having second thoughts about it. I may post some pictures later, but in the meantime, I was wondering how I could get it authenticated (the seller will guarantee the authenticity).

Most boutiques will not authenticate bags. I'm not sure about Marc Jacobs though. If you have a relationship with a SA, he/she might be willing to help you out.

There are a number of members here who know what to look for in a bag, so you should definitely post a few pictures when you get a chance. Do you have an auction number that we could refer to?
