How do Metallic shoes age?

Hello Ladies,
Today I was at Saks and saw some gold leather Chanel ballet flats that I loved. DH told me don't waste my money because I have had issues with metallic bags in the past. I searched and I saw a thread about metallic bags but I wanted to know about shoes. Does anyone have metallic ballet flats? How do they age? Does the color wear off? Help me out ladies...I can't stop thinking about those shoes

I have the metallic silver flats and they still look and feel great after 3 years of frequent use. I would definitely buy more.

Metallic silver skin are being faded. After a year it looks like 3yrs ago. I wont prefer to buy metallic cloth.
