How do I clean the sticky stuff out of my LV Trocadero

I was given an LV Trocadero and the outer and inner zip pocket both have the sticky black stuff.Any ideas on how to remove this?It wouldn't bother me but I like to carry my LV Pouchette in the outer pocket and it is getting this stuff on it.This purse was my mothers and she gave it to me when I went to visit her so it is a very special bag to me and I want to use it as much as possible.Thanks for any ideas.

It's quite easy actually. You just need pure acetone and some rags. Carefully cover the parts you don't want to be affected and just start scrubbing the goo away with a rag dipped in acetone. It might take a while but the results are definitely worth it!

Alternatively, you could take it to LV and ask about relining the pocket. For a purse with such sentimental value, it could be worth it.
