How did LV handle glaze issue?

I have a preloved Montaigne with deglazing issues on the handles. I’ve been reading through old posts and it appears this was a known issue. I lost the receipt during a move. I reached out to the original owner hoping she can request a copy of the receipt (I’m hoping she will respond). I know her full name, I wonder if they would be able to accommodate me with her info. Has this happened to anyone or do you know how LV handled this? Did they replace the handle or bag all together?

Yay I found a copy of the receipt from the seller! Does anyone know if they replaced on the handles or exchanged the bag?

I am guessing that your Montaigne is in Empreinte. On my Montaigne gm in Empreinte noir, the handles started to peel after about two years, and I hadn’t been using the bag much.. Brought it to the nearest LV store and they sent it to France. The repair took about six weeks, both handles had to be changed, and I had to pay for it.

Oh wow you had to pay for it? That’s sucks when it’s not your fault. Yes it’s the empreinte. Mine have melted, super sticky.
