I don't have diamond on any prongs. It sits flush (bezel) and is a round stone surrounded by smaller round stones (pave).

I sometimes hear a tiny clicking noise when I touch the diamond. Also makes the clicking noise when I shake it close to my ear. Is it loose?

Yes, it sounds like it's loose. It's probably loose in the bezel which means you would have to take it to your jeweler to be tightened. I had a bezel set necklace where I had this issue, I just took it in to my jeweler and he fixed it no problem!

boo, but at least now I know. It could be also it's more prone to being loose since it's an vintage art deco ring. I will bring it to my jeweler tomorrow and see.

Is there anyone else who has a vintage and had any problems?

i wouldn't take any chances. i would definitely take it to your jeweler and have him tighten it up. not sure what your insurance consists of, but i know that some insurance policies do not cover loss of stone, so make sure it's in there nice and tight.
