How can I get my hands on a Birkin?

I'm a newbie here and I need you help. I've been trying to get my hands on just one Birkin bag for years! I would love any inside tips on getting on the list for a 35cm orange,gold, or red with gold hardware in togo/fijord leather. My husband said he'll get me one if I can get on the list. I've been to the Hermes stores on Rodeo, San Francisco, and South Coast Plaza but the sales assoc. always claim that the list is closed.

US has close the waitting list as i know. but you can try to visit particular H store and just buy something with particular sales let they have good impression with ya.. also.. make sure u buy small stuff from time to time.. so they will remember you.. when u have good relationship.. here comes BIRKIN!! good luck!

also another tips.. there are some GOOD CHANCE you will see the BIRKIN every wed from south coast plaza, they have new inventory every tuesday or wed.. i forget but.. if their clinet didn't take they will take it out and display so u still have good chance to get it!
