How bad is your love of bling??!!

My collection is never enough...lol!!!! I finally surpassed my obsession with bags!! I mean, I can't get myself to fork up a certain amount on bags but on bling...its whatever I can get away with...lol!!

Theres so much variety and so much wonderfully designed pieces that I just fall in love over and over again. I literally feel that there is never, ever enough!!!

Help me feel better and share your thoughts with me!!!!!:shame:

I feel as if I never "need" any more jewelry, because I have such beautiful or unique pieces.

I never get around to wearing it all very often, so why buy more? For example, I rarely wear bracelets because I feel it's too much with my large watches. So even if I find a bracelet I love, I have to be practical about the fact that I won't wear it that often.

I'd rather have a funky new watch than another bauble. Unless it's my e-ring upgrade!

I am the opposite...I dont prefer the one big, nice ring, which my husband prefers. I like many different designs and gemstones...its true that I dont wear them as much as I should, but I just love and enjoy them.

Watches are wonderful too!!

Very BAD!! You should see my mom when I sit with a jewelry catalog in front of her. She just wishes that I don't but those magazines LOL.

I simply love jewelry very much! I go crazy whenever I visit Cartier or Piaget. I try on everything and it seems that I like most of the things.

Its so addicting isnt it?! Truely I can now say that jewelry is my passion. To me its like wearing a piece of art almost and looking at those most amazing gems that nature has made...just breath taking!

I'm so madly in love with jewelry! (to my moms delight! - she does not spend much on anything except for jewelry).... especially now that I can afford to buy the styles & designs i want. I use to love handbags... then little by little i sold them off (but kept a few pieces) to pay for the blings i like. My heart flutters every time i see a piece of jewelry i like .... am now saving for an earring i've been eyeing for months now.... maybe just maybe i can get it by my birthday on October

Oh, it's a sickness alright. Just found out that I need to put one of my favorites in the vault (too expensive to insure for me to wear every day) so am gleefully plotting it's replacement! I always have a mental list of what I "need" just in case an opportunity should present itself!! And I expect an opportunity in about 5 weeks

Very very bad. I have been purchasing an item almost every month. Just year to date alone I have bought a fancy light yellow diamond ring, a VCA 10 motif vintage allhambra necklace, a pair of large pink sappire hoop earrings, a strand of south sea pearl necklace and I have a windex blue zircon in the works at my jeweler right now.. and I am still on the lookout for a paraiba tourmaline, an untreated burmese royal blue sapphire, a pair of imperial jade earrings, a 5-7ct spessartite and a 3-5ct tsavorite.

Fortunately I fell in love with chanel handbags recently and it has been able to divert my attention from bling for a while and bags are definitely a lot cheaper. Unfortunately, it seems that it is not a permanent distraction and now I have two loves -- jewelry and chanel handbags!

I totally agree. I have always thought that way, jewelry is like wearable, portable art..

My strand of south sea pearls is a graduated strand instead of all being the same size. Had it been the same size, it would be a lot more expensive. I have posted some pictures of my jewelry in another forum - www.pricescope.com. Have you been there? If you love jewelry, you must visit this forum!

i love jewelery the more complicated unusual the design the better. for me it is art paired with what mother nature gave us. just the thought of the million year old mother natures gift in the hand of an artisan and what he does with it how he sets it to transform into his vision of beauty makes me shiver.
for me jewelery always was my way to express myself to show my feelings to be dainty or girly to be over the top etc. since i only dress in white and black i love to be a blank canvas and let all my acceesories shine kwim?
edit: the best jewelry is for me the one where everyone who is not in the know think it is costume but i know it is real i get fun out of that
