Do AI apps give you a realistic makeup "try on", or is it better just to go in? It seems to be convenient, but I order the makeup online is it going to look the same? I would think that in some cases, you would want to feel the texture. Also, I am not sure how accurate the apps are as far as color. Are there any apps you would recommend, or do you suggest staying away from all of these AI apps. Thanks.

I use Meitu. I think their makeup app is excellent! My favorite is giving me eyelashes because I dislike putting on false lashes (and honestly could not be bothered lol).

It's convenient and versatile. You can take a photo with the app for a makeup look. Or you can take a regular photo and edit in the app.
You can put on individual factors such as eyelashes, eyeshadows, eyeliner, blush, lipstick, etc.
Or you can go for premade looks. It could be a full done face. Or a full done eye makeup look, etc.

It can also smooth out the skin (remove too much texture or fine lines), remove acne, etc.

Honestly, to use or stay away is a matter of personal preference. It's your photo, you can do what you want with it.
