How about the Limelight clutch?

Hello everyone,

I have always been interested in the Limelight clutch in Noir or Black, especially after seeing it in the SATC movie. I tried doing some research on this bag, but not much has been posted on it in the last several years, so I'm curious to hear some input from some Limelight owners. Overall, how well has the bag held up? I noticed some for sale with some cracks/peeling- was this common? And I can't decide on the size- what all can the PM and the GM hold? Any info and pics are greatly appreciated!

I recently purchased the limelight GM in rose gold (from Vestaire collective). I was on the hunt for a while, looking for GM size of rise gold, gold, or silver. These are some things I found of what was on the resale market:
-Silver seemed to crack the most-- lot of the ones for resale were worn away (it's kind of a laminated (maybe this isn't the right word) textile, and a lot of the lamination had worn off along the folds of the purse and the top.
-There black didn't seem to show as many cracks as the metal colours
-I would find more black, rose gold, and silver on the resale as opposed to gold-- not as common, and if it did come up for resale, it would disappear quickly

To note about the material: Now that I see it in person, it is not very lustrous in regular light (now I also notice this in pictures too). However, when taken into a bight light, or in front of a flash with a camera (i.e., in a picture), it is super lustrous!

I do love my purchase! I love that it is an unstructured fold over clutch. The one I purchased has a few minor cracks along the folds, but only visible if you inspect it. I think it might be partly how it is kept, or just with age. The african queen is a few seasons later, so maybe they changed something about the fabric between 2007 and 2009...(I.e., treatment of the fabric), even though it looks the same.

I am 5'10", and am of a lean athletic build (not too muscular haha). I like the GM as it fits my frame better I think. Also, because it is an unstructured bag, I wanted large, as it seems like a more "relaxed" style of bag. For me, the PM is smaller, and more dainty, so I'd rather have a small structured bag. I feel like I can dress the GM up or down. Kind of a sophisticated casual.

The GM is large enough to hold, wallet, keys, phone, and other things you might have. I also fit a little mini toiletry bag in there (tweezers, pocket mirror, hair elastics, lippy, mini moisturizer, etc.) without the bag being overstuffed. Since it is a clutch though, you don't want to stuff it full, as you have to carry it around (it can get heavy). I haven't tried fitting a second pair of shoes in there (i.e., flats for a walk home).
