Travel Hotel Recommendations in Santa Monica, CA

Hello All,

We're traveling to Santa Monica next month for a little R&R (too much travel for work has me and my sweetie beat to death!!!!!!!). So far I've narrowed it down to:

Shutters on the Beach
The Viceroy
Le Merigot Hotel and Spa
Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows

Has anyone stayed at any of the above, if so your reviews would be greatly appreciated.

Shutters on the beach would be my top choice. Its so LA beach chic stealth wealth. One of my favorite spots in SM. The rooms are lovely, good sized, and the service is excellent.

I also like the viceroy hotel, but it has more of a younger/bling/modern atmosphere. The standard rooms are pretty small.

Shutters, for sure. I don't like the service at Casa del Mar. The Viceroy can be fun for dinner, but not to stay. haven't stayed at the Fairmont.

While, I was all set to stay in Santa Monica, the love of my life had different plans. He surprised me yesterday with news that he made reservations for a grand suite at Raffles L'Ermitage Beverly Hills. I'm over the moon........ He's so good to me
