I got a very very strange response from a US store CA today.

I brought in my victorine wallet to get it hot stamped. The CA was very happy to do it and seemed very pleased until I told her I would like to get the local exclusive design. She started making excuses of why she couldn’t do it then proceeded to alert the whole store about my inquiry and her managers were just standing in the corner of the store texting her to tell me no and go.

I politely explained to her that I’m a regular shopper for the brand and never have I ever heard of not being able to hot stamp a SLG. She even took a picture of my wallet because she thought my other hot stamp looked cool. I told her that my home store never had an issue and the other store across town never has an issue too. In fact, they were willing to do it but the turn around time takes too long. The CA just kept saying how other stores don’t know what they’re doing or the company policy. Her managers and her are seasoned employees 🤭

Has anyone ever experienced something like this?

The wallet you brought in to get heat stamped already had another heat stamp on it, am I reading that correctly? If so...unfortunately since the tik tokers ruined it for the rest of us, LV has a strict one heat stamp per product rule now across the board. I have even heard of some stores in Asia requiring you to purchase something in order to have it stamped, even if you brought in a non-stamped item that you already own. It is sad because people used to use their passport covers as way to commemorate the LV stores they had traveled to by getting multiple unique stamps. I have seen exceptions made to this, but it is usually for customers who spend a lot and have a good and established relationship with a CA. Ever since this new rule took effect, staff in some stores can be very standoffish about heat stamping. I just returned from Italy where I was able to get three different luggage tags stamped in different cities, but the Milan store treated me like absolute garbage for having the audacity to ask for it...I'll post the full story in the heat stamp club thread when I get a chance.

yes the wallet already had a stamp and CA was well aware. What was weird was that while I was chatting with the CA she seemed fine with hot stamping and was suggesting the location of the stamp on my wallet until I brought up the location exclusive stamp, then everything went south

I think that policies have changed on the special store stamps. I once was able to have my store manager get me a luggage tag stamped from a different store that I really wanted to add to my collection. I guess it was a bit of an ordeal and controversy to have it done. My understanding is that they will only do it now if you are in that store and purchase the item from that store. But again, others may have different experiences.
