I broke and ordered the red/oxblood kisslock satchel (Style no. 21733 OL/Oxblood) while it was still available because of how limited it is (just to check it out
). It appears there were 301 made. You've probably seen it on other threads, but I thought I'd share a bunch of photos and details of the bag in case any of you are interested.
Here are some of my pros and cons on this bag and some honest thoughts about it; I am still a little undecided.
Pros: It's very beautiful and well crafted. The kisslock closure is large and works smoothly. The inside lining is made of a nice soft leather. The colors and prints complement one another nicely; the horse and duck prints are my favorite of the season (such a win to have them both on one bag). It fits more than it looks like it should fit, so in that regard it does fit a lot. It's also light, although that is probably unsurprising given its size. Also...it sparkles. I tried to capture this in photos but the horse print has glitter and all the edges, including on the strap and hangtag, have the glitter finishing. In bright light the whole bag just has that lovely sparkle.
Cons: The size is really tiny - I knew it would be tiny, I checked the measurements and saw the photos but I was still surprised at how tiny it is. I'm just second-guessing the size + shape combination, it's unusual for me personally so I have to step out of my comfort zone with this one. In the same vein, be hard to coordinate this satchel with certain clothing and shoes; I would say it's a statement bag. I really do wish it came with a chain-leather strap rather than just the leather strap. I added a metal/leather strap from a different bag but it's not a perfect. If they included an oxblood colored leather + old gold metal strap it would so perfect (here's me saying for the 101st time that they should just sell these types of straps separately!)
And now without further ado....
