What are your honest thoughts about this ring? I saw it and fell in LOVE!!! I must have it!!! Center stone is a 1.05 princess cut natural canary diamond and the setting is approximately 2ct???

My honest opinion? It's pretty but overdone. I would have never guessed that the center stone was a full carat. The double halo drowns it out and, in my opinion, seems to be trying to over compensate for a small center stone. Since 1ct is by no means a small stone, it doesn't need the huge halo. A beautiful 1ct yellow diamond like that should be allowed to shine on its own or with a very delicate single halo outline. But I've always been partial to simple/solitaire rings. But if you love the double halo, it is quite a pretty and sparkling ring. Good luck deciding!

I'm not a fan of yellow diamonds, but to me the setting is just too much. Whenever I see rings with very ornate pave settings, like the poster above I usually think the buyer is trying to compensate for a center stone that the wearer wishes were larger.

But if you love it go for it.

I'm not a fan f this setting. It looks too busy and clutters up the beauty of the yellow center stone. But the only opinion that really counts is yours. If you love it as much as you say you do then flaunt it!

Completely agree EXCEPT for not liking FY diamonds (I have one that I LOVE!) Your center stone seems overwhelmed by the setting and it makes the center diamond look smaller than 1ct (although I think anything other than round tends to look smaller compared ct to ct).

I also agree with Ame that if you truly LOVE it and its what you want, then get it ...

+2. I also feel like the halos are trying to compensate for the center diamond. That gorgeous stone doesnt need any help.

The center canary yellow stone is beautiful! The halo is a bit much, kind of makes it hard for the eye to focus but as others have said, if you love it, that's all that matters. You have to get what sings to 'Your' heart!!

The setting takes away from the center stone...as if it's more about the halo than the actual yellow diamond which appears disproportionally small in this setting.
You stated that you "must have it", so why are you seeking opinions?
What really matters is what YOU think and if you love this ring, and can comfortably afford it you should buy it.:smile1:

I think I kinda like overdone! My original set has a double halo, then I got a 3 stone which I thought was too plain, then a solitaire that I also thought was too plain so I got a semi mount for it...

I also thought the center looked smaller but I thought it was because its a princess cut. I loved the ring, then I fell on love with the price. It was more than $9,000 now it's on sale for a little over $6,000... The ring I really want is $24,999!!! Dh would faint if I even mention that ring!!!
