Ok..so I've always been supportive of my wife. She's always asked me to hold her purses while she drives. I've never balked or cared...at a drive thru once the young lady took a jab at me..it was funny but i don't see what the big deal is...she never asks me to carry her purse in public. She just will refuse to put it on the ground...ladies opinions? I'm pretty much a guy so it doesn't bother me to keep a Gucci off the floor

Hmm.
I would feel a bit uncomfortable/rude, tossing my bag onto a vehicle passenger.

Especially since he/she might rummage through. To pilfer from my precious stock of tissues or adhesive bandages.

As have backseat, toss it there.
Unless dog is riding along. Then just put bag on floor.
Not a biggie. I vacuum floor mats. Sometimes.;)

If I'm driving, my husband *always* holds my handbag in his lap. I say you are doing the right thing. [emoji6]

If we're out somewhere and I need to be totally unencumbered by my handbag, then my husband will hold it for me, on his shoulder or in his hand. He has no qualms about it.

Right I don't see it as a big deal really. Though My wife likes large bags...they can get quite heavy lol

I always put my bag in the boot or behind my seat, I never ask passengers to hold it especially if it's a bigger one. I don't put my bag on floors but quite happy to put them onto the car mats or in with the dog. It's also a great way to ensure I'm not distracted by digging into while I'm driving [emoji6]

You're very nice to do that for her! I would not dream of asking my DH to ever hold my purse. Although, the other day I did ask him to carry it into the house for me and was of course entertained with an amusing sashay from him as he sauntered away with my purse over his shoulder like a boss. But I digress. Since you drive a 2-seater I don't see much option. I often place my purse on the floor by the driver's side door when I drive, but I drive an SUV so there's more room there. Not sure how you'd do that in a small car and I can totally see her not being comfortable just shoving it down there. I like holding my purse in MY lap when DH drives, but that is because I love my purses about as much as I'd love a puppy. So that's just free snuggle time!
Sorry not to be more help....
