Don't have bandit as don't like the shape or slouch but have lots of nomads and love them they are big but not too big and lovely shape
Thanks elvisfan, I love the slouchiness of the Bandit but the crossbody option of the Nomad. Plus the Nomad I found is a fraction of the price of the Bandit I like!
Hmm, maybe I’ll keep my wallet in my pocket for now...
There is a black bandit for sale at half price here in the uk but the inner pouch is garish so just not for me - nomads are addictive I have just added cornflower and butterscotch to my collection such easy to use and sensibly priced bags

I am horribly intrigued as to the garish nature of that Bandit!! I have seen two black Bandits on the site, one has a flowered pouch and the other purple - is it different to those?

I had a bandit and returned it, mine had some stitching issues in the big bag. I would have been able to do an exchange, but the bag is not the easiest to get into. If I was carrying it on my shoulder, in order for me to get into it, i would have to hang it on the crook of my arm to reach inside or put it down altogether. It was such a hassle for me.

Chiichan, that's a shame about the stitching. I guess hobos in general would have the 'hard to get into' issue, I love having my hands free with a crossbody! I suspect if I had a Nomad I'd use it as a crossbody most.
Elvisfan, I'd not heard of Flannels before, so cheers for the heads up! I saw the Bandit, great price, but it was really the purple suede lined black Bandit that caught my attention. Of course it was, it's £900!!! Can't think that I'd ever use the purple pouch on its own though.
I found a black Nomad in the larger size - no zip entry, just a press stud fastening. I bit the bullet and ordered it to see what it's like. Too scared to order the Bandit too to compare, my past history shows that I end up keeping both and I just can't do it so close to Christmas
If I can't get on with the short shoulder strap of the Nomad then the Bandit probably wouldn't be much use to me. Either that or I get me some Dynasty-style shoulder pads, lol!!
