Sharing a little happy Valentine presents (and story) for him and her.

I started a "wish list" at our local boutique recently for my dear hubbles, Mr Bcat to get ideas for gifts because with his low vision and color blindness, gift shopping most anywhere (even online) is difficult and being able to actually surprise me when it comes to gifts has been nearly at zero percent for over 9 years now...

At the same time, when I was looking online at Tiffany, I saw some pretty homeware items and decided I wanted to get him some nice glasses for his whisky collection to replace the "ok" set he has right now. So I ordered some glasses at the store to be delivered and gave a different number.

At around the same time, but after I had added some items to my wishlist, Mr Bcat goes to the boutique unbeknownst to me to check my wishlist and do some Valentine shopping. The helpful SA discovered my separate accounts (my wishlist and my purchase account) and offered to combine them for him. My effort in sneakiness was nearly undone!!! Luckily, Mr Bcat isn't overly curious (unlike some others of us...) and did not inquire further. (whew...as that is not the only item on my purchase account... )

So Valentine's Day comes around and we both bring out blue bags. A big one for papa bear and small one for me  (And that's when I found out about my new combined account!)

I got him a set of Elsa Peretti Thumbprint glasses (and some small batch local Bourbon) in a size good for sipping his favorite bevvies and he surprised me with a pair of the 8-9mm freshwater pearl earrings. I have a smaller pair of pearl studs about 6mm, but this has a much better presence on the ear. them to bits! So happy he picked them out!

Thanks for letting me share!

The thumb just fits it! (But it is right handed only!) If you are left handed, your first finger fits it....

Thanks for sharing your lovely story. I have the same pair of pearl earrings and I love them. The size is perfect and I wear them way more often than my Tiffany signature pearl earrings.

Thank you so much! I do think the size is perfect on these too and they will definitely be getting a lot of wear.

Congrats! Love your story. my DH discovered Small blue boxes were a guarantee of success for gift giving about 20 years ago. He used to surpise me, but now we usually gift shop together!

Thank you scarf1! :hugs: we have the opposite issue. It’s too hard for him to surprise me! I work from home so always see packages. For scarves, I always know what’s coming, if not when because I have to pick those out...so I finally found something he can just run with on his own. :p
