hi all im new here..quick question

hi all im new in thes parts, you usually find me in the chloe sub forum.
im ery interested in a bright purple b bag that ive seen this will be my first ever one and im completely attracted to the colour more than anything, im not sure if this colour is called violet or eggplant!?
do you think this is a good colour to start with? do you think its to bright?

Both Violet and Eggplant are gorgeous colors! However you might have an easier time finding a Violet bag considering it's from 2007 while Eggplant is from 2004. I have 3 Violet Bal items in my collection and I love them to bits!! It's such a useful color that's not too bright but packs a nice color pop, and matches with almost anything!

What model are you thinking of getting?

You may wanna wait in June/July when the prefall collection comes out, there is a purple called sapphire that is similar to 07 violet.

yep, i'm also waiting for the sapphire to come out too...I think that's a beautiful colour to start with, it's quite versatile, all year round IMO...let us know what you choose, OK?

occasionally '07 violet pops on the bay or one of the consignment sites. such a pretty color!! i'm hoping 08's sapphire will be just as pretty!

You may want to wait for Fall 2008 Sapphire...by all reports it looks identical to Violet but some have said it is a little brighter. I have pre-ordered for a City GSH in it, and it should be in within the next month to a month and a half. Here is the color swatch for Fall 08:
