Hi everyone, so I had the Sakura cape cod reserved for me since it’s back in my local store and I missed it last year. I also saw a Heure H gold plated watch online with diamond set dial, and had it reserved too. When I went to the store, I tried both and really could not make up my mind. The Sakura cape cod has pink sapphires and diamonds on its steel case and apparently it costs more because the craftsmanship for that is more difficult than the Heure H. its also a seasonal item that may not be in stores again after it’s sold out. Hence the FOMO in me is strong :/ moreover, it has the rose Sakura strap that I really love. The SAs there all kept telling me pink looks very feminine and sweet and matches my aesthetic better. However, all my Jewelry and bag / shoes hardware is rose gold / gold hence the Heure H seems to match better in this aspect. Furthermore blue is my favourite colour hence I’m really drawn to this timepiece. I also really like the look of sparkly diamonds the Heure H has. The Heure H looks really classy and elegant and it’s just an image I want to be, while the cape cod is feminine and dainty, probably how I’m viewed as of now. My SA keeps telling me to get the cape cod because it’s more special and might not appear in the Hermes Time customisation event even if there’s an event this year. However, my heart seems to be leaning towards the Heure H? Idk. The cape cod seems very popular on IG too haha. Attached are some modelling shots of both watches. Do let me know which one you guys prefer on me!!

I think there’s room for both in one’s collection. Are you able to do that at all?

If you will only get one and that’s it, I think the Heure H is more versatile. I am voting for Heure H because of this. That being said, I agree that it will stay available as opposed to the more special cape cod, so if you can see yourself eventually getting both I’d get the cape cod first and just get the Heure H some time later in the future (disclaimer: I am someone who owns both watch styles).

By the way you don’t need to make the strap color the biggest deciding factor - the straps of both styles should be interchangeable and you can always get more straps. I would consider putting more focus on the watch face itself when you decide. Good luck!

I was actually reserving the Heure H for the time event. But in the event it doesn’t come back, then I would have missed out on this watch for the months I was waiting for the time customisation event. Also, I’m not planning to get 2 watches in one quota so I’ll have to wait for my next quota to purchase another watch thank you for your advice! I will take what you’ve said into serious consideration!!

Apparently a voice of dissent here  , but I love the Cape Cod more (my own preference) and also think it fits the size of your wrist better, aesthetically. I also think all the incarnations currently offered of the Cape Cod and Nantucket watches with the diamonds sprinkled on the cases/faces are just so creative and beautiful. I also think the Cape Cod face is more interesting. That blue croc strap is beautiful, but as others said, part of the fun with either of these is having a little wardrobe of straps, as they are easily swapped. Also, FYI, I also have a small wrist, and buy the short vs standard length straps. There's less overhang, and they fit me better, might work better for you as well. Regarding which watch, buy whichever makes your heart sing, that's all that's important here! :flowers:

I didn’t know the watch straps come in different lengths! My SA said he would have to poke 2 holes into the straps to fit my size 12.5 wrist. The cape cod might be bigger, at 23x23 while the Heure H is 21x21. It could be because Heure H has sharp corners and May end up looking bulky. I also think the cape cod looks more interesting and the sprinkling of diamonds are beautiful! Thank you for your reply!!

I went the same route when I first purchased my 23x23 Cape Cod, my SA punched one extra hole (at least) in the regular length strap. It was a double tour. It then fit better, but I felt there was just too much extra strap, and of course, then it was mine! Expensive lesson! From then on I requested the short length, which they don't typically have on hand. The sharp corners of the H Heure are one of the issues I have with it. Just wonder if more prone to catching on things and or getting dinged? But I don't want to talk you out of the one you love the most! :flowers:

I will ask my SA about the short length!’ Thank you for letting me know this important information! :D
