Hello!
So I was in Monaco and was able to pick up the evelyne in my top choice color. In my excitement I tried it on and said yes immediately, but now that I am home I realized something is off with the strap. It’s entirely too short! It measures about 35 in or so and the drop is maybe 17-18 in?? All the measurements I’ve been reading online have been saying that the drop is normally 22 in so mine is def shorter and fits snug crossbody which is primarily how I want to use this bag. Does Hermes even make these short strap evelyne tpms? Was I given a defective one? Any hopes of exchanging it at my local store or will
My SA hate me forever if I ask? Not going back to Monaco any time soon. Please help!

you have to take it to your local store and find out
even if your SA will hate you for ever!
for goodness sake get your priorities right

it is unlikely there was a mistake
if there was, your store might be able to fix it,
if not contact Monaco

if there was not a mistake by Hermes, but the fault was yours
and the colour is what you want
just source an alternative strap

Sorry I don't quite understand. Why might any of this be OP's fault? I guess if it's one's first TPM and one isn't familiar with the length this one might be a slightly drastic craftsperson variation. Or it sneaked past QC. Most of us I believe, can use a TPM strap crossbody at a reasonably comfortable level.

It would be OP's fault if it is a correct size supplied with the bag,
she tried it on and found it acceptable
then subsequently realised that there are different length options
in that case it would not be Hermes fault for making the strap the wrong length

you might wish to substitute 'responsibility' for 'fault'
as a better choice of word

Good luck with getting this resolved. I’m more interested in hearing how you scored this in Monaco ☺️. I’ve tried on 3 separate occasions for a non quota while purchasing other items and always got told no.
