Okay, you're either really excited about this prospect, or you've just scoffed/snorted and are exiting this thread at this very moment.

I need some confirmation... Has anyone else heard anything of this?
A PRICE DECREASE I mean... ("Hah! Yeah right!... Ha.. ha..hummmm... really? Reeally??")

I was reading an article in my dad's Korean paper about Hermes decreasing their prices (July 15th print). I speak/read Korean well, but a newspaper is always tricky... I'm pretty sure it stated that Hermes will decrease their prices. I don't have it infront of me, but I will scan the article and post it later. I am also going to get my mom to translate it for me...

Something or other about the EU... Please wait for an update and if anyone has any info please tell!

Here is a photo of the article.... Sorry for the small size... I tried larger sizes and it wouldn't upload. I'll work on translating it...

I read Korean and it sounds like it will happen in Korea, not the rest of the world.

Yes sspark :) My bf also confirmed this! That's great that they'll be lowering prices... Accessories are not included but prices will drop for things like scarves... and a birkin 25 will go down about 3%, while the kelly will go down about 6%. It doesn't seem like a lot, but when you crunch the numbers, you will save some money. The article says that a Kelly 35 will go down to 929 0000 from 988 0000 (That's about 9075.00 down to 8533.00 CAD)

Well, from what I've been reading though, most customers can't score a birkin or kelly anyhow from Korean Hermes stores because they hold those for VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVIPs... So annoying...

the price adjustment will vary from country to country depending on the strength of that country's currency against Euro.

I do believe Australia, given the strength of AUD, has also decreased. I guess Korean won must have appreciated quite strongly in recent month to warrant a downward adjustment.

conversely, if the currency of a country (say UK or USD) has weakened significantly against Euro, then most likely, Hermes will adjust the prices upwards . However, in some instances given the state of economy these days, hopefully, such adjustments will not be too drastic as to further curtail retail activities!

either way, just enjoy the price decrease! congrats and hope you score some grails!
