From the article...

"An excellent colour-match project comes from Hermès, maker of the famous silk scarves for women, and the equally desirable silk ties for men. If you are in London, go to the Royal Exchange branch of the French luxury house and check out its “101 Tie Animation”, which launched yesterday.
Arranged in a gentleman's dressing trunk you will find reissues of the silk Hermès H tie in each of the 100 different colours it has been made in over the past 20 years. As well as this, you can add a 101st colour of your own to the range from an additional palette of 1,000 colours.
Now we all know that in the area of formal menswear there are precious few places where we can assert our individuality, and the tie is pre-eminent among them. And you can't get much more individual than a tie that has a one-in-1,000 chance of being unique - not factoring in the probability of people going to the Royal Exchange in the first place. Then add the variations of size into the equation - there are four: the Classic (9.1cm wide), the Boston (8cm wide), the Liverpool (7cm wide) and the Tall tie (9.1cm wide and extra long for tall men) - and the chances are that your particular choice will genuinely be one of a kind. Place an order and the tie will be produced with a special leather label on the interior saying “couleur sur mesure” , which means “made to measure colour”. Now that's what I call bespoke. "
