Hi,
My lovely SA find a very cute Evelyne TPM bag in color Gris Alsphalt. Since I don't have time to pick it up it store, so he ship it to me.
Since I was in hurry when I called him to give him my credit card information, so I didn't pay attention on the order details.
Today I just saw the credit card transaction the total is $2097.
If I didn't make mistake, the price for Evelyne is $1800, plus tax rate in my area will be $1957, so the credit card transaction is $140 more than the bag total $1957. Is the shipping cost $140? Even though it is signature required. That is a lot!

I didn't ask what is the leather for the bag, or it is possible there is a leather for Evelyne TPM the price is more than $1800?

Can any one has the ship from store experience share your thought?

Thanks

That is a really high charge. I've had phone orders with shipping charges ranging from free to $40 at the highest but that was for Saturday before 10am guaranteed FedEx delivery. The good news is that your receipt should list shipping as a separate line item charge. I would wait until you get the package, see the receipt and then inquire with your store if you really were charged $140 for shipping.

Interestingly, tax is applied after shipping fees. For example I buy a CSGM $1175 + shipping at $40, and then 9.0% local tax on top. Sad thing is if I go to my home store and buy something, the tax is lower than if I were to charge send [emoji33]

I think the Epsom is actually cheaper than Clemence by $50-75.

The shipping charge should be an exact flat amount (i.e. Exactly $20.00 or $40.00 etc). If you assume an even $40 shipping fee and work backwards, you could probably work out the price of the bag and see if that too is an even number.

Price = (charge-shipping)/1.0taxrate

I assume the ship fee is 40 and calculate back, I find out the price of the bag is almost a even number. It is $1874.9977.
Approximately equal to $1875.
I will wait to see if the bag price is $1875. I wonder what kind of leather it is. $140 shipping charge doesn't make sense. Evelyne TPM is very small. And it is a two-day shipping, not even over night shipping.

Thank you so much for your formula!

Just because your lovely SA is away on holiday, it does not mean that you cannot call the store and enquire rather than enter endless conjecture on here.
I just called and another sa said the shipping fee is 40. But she doesn’t know which bag my sa sent to me. That means the bag will be 1875 before tax. So I am waiting to see which kind of leather it is. It is $75 more the Clemence leather.
