Hi !

Creating this thread and naming it as quoted by @papertiger and with gratitude for giving me guidance and courage to start a wonderful thread. Let's share which H scarves you think qualifies as 'Hermes Royalty'.

I'll start. Let me know what you think. Thanks! ...

Here's my Liste au Bloc embroidered triangle scarf in Tabac/Rouge/Orange. The embroidery in this colorway is exceptional! EVERY detail is embroidered! Nothing is printed. It also comes in another colorway (Ivoire/Multicolore) that is also gorgeous! Here's link to h.com with more info.

I recently purchased this muffler and I was told this is rare and exceptional. My thinking is if it’s in a nice wood box instead of just an orange box, it’s got to be special! LOL The wood and orange box combo is heavy. The wood lid could be used as a nice long tray IMHO. ☺️

Was told the Vicuna wool is hard to source because the quality needed to make this scarf. I’m sharing more photos than what I posted in the Latest Hermes Purchases thread.

Super soft muffler is 48x170cm Vigogne Cuir 100% Vicuna Hair Color 01 Naturel. H394812T. The price is $3550. Let me know if you have any questions!

Posting more info on Vicuna wool. Wow now I’m afraid to wear it!! 🤣

‘Touching vicuña fiber is like touching a cloud. We source this unique wool from a mill in South America, and the supply is extremely limited. Most of the annual harvest is bought up by the elite Italian fashion designers, who turn this same fiber into luxurious yarns, scarves, suits, and jackets. We are making raw vicuña fiber available for the very first time for hand-spinners and fiber artists. Please note that wild vicuña fiber has a short staple length; the individual fibers measure between 1 inch and 1.5 inches long, so extra care is required when spinning.’

This is it: the finest and most luxurious fiber in the whole world. Vicuña are the wild ancestors of domesticated alpaca, and their wool is the finest natural f…

I suppose 'exceptional scaves' could be posted on this thread but these here are not Hermes defined 'exceptional scarves' but yet they are worthy and wonderfully crafted. I looked at some of the posts in the exceptional scarves thread and they are bejeweled with beads and of course beautiful. My first post on this thread gives a little background of why it was created but I'm okay if it was merged

Exceptional scarves are usually elevated versions of previous designs of various formats. They are usually the same textile but elevated through embroidery, paillettes, beads etc, but essentially, they are special version of a much loved scarf design.

Scarves we have been shown on this so far are more like textile-art without a former reference.

Don't be afraid of wearing vicuña, especially as a scarf or wrap. I have 15 year old vicuña trousers and wear them regularly.

I think the term royalty can also be used subjectively or within our individual collections.

I would call my red Perspective Cavaliere as my scarf royalty, perhaps it's a scarf that married royalty since it started life as a commoner.

It's one of the first batch of Petit H pieces that were made in 2013(?) and has a Swift, Rouge H leather collar.
