End Time: Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 6:00pm
Location: The Music Rooms
Street: 26 South Molton Lane, Mayfair

This is the Hermes sale they run bi-annually. It's RTW, shoes, gloves and hats and sometimes china. There is never small leather goods, scarves, shawls, bags or jewellery

Prices are pretty good if you can find something you want

That's it. I so need a money tree that sprouts into full bloom in three days. Been thinking about shoes and gloves, so this is too convenient. Oh crap.

Plenty of RTW & shoes, one pair of gloves at 4 pm. No china at that time. Interesting experience, but not gonna repeat it. Paris is probably a lot more interesting.

PS Got a pair of shoes

Should've listened to you, Mooks. I was hoping to replace the tea cup and saucer DH broke as well as get an ashtray or two. There was not a ceramic in sight. Thought I could at least get a pair of flats. Everything was 3 sizes too big.

DH and I went yesterday morning! It was very busy but at least the weather was nice. DH bought a shirt but the ladies rtw is seriously expensive even in the sale, why do men get all the good discounts! Nothing to write home about in the shoes luckily I picked up a couple of pairs in the Milan sale last month.

Bumped into Maria28 and DD on the stairs on the way down (waves) and am still wondering if any other pfrmers actually bought anything?

I have always found the London sales (with the exception of their so called exceptional ones which happen every few years and do have china, some bags and homeware) to be too limited in terms of stock and too expensive.

The items on sale are usually those that cannot be shifted in their boutiques and the RTW is way over priced ... far better to stick to the European sales.

As Mooks suggests, if you are in the area ... why not, but its not worth a special journey

20-40pct usually, although some of the ladies who actually went could advise you better - Paris does seem to have vastly more choice and better discounts .... you just have to factor in travel, accommodation and other expenses

LOL! Thanks for the replies FF, Syma. My local H has 40% (for previous collection) and 60% (for previous previous collection) discounts for the RTW. Was wondering if the sale system is similar across different countries.
