There is a sale going on in the SF Hermes store. I think it lasts until 6pm.
I am not sure if this is just the SF store or all H store. Good luck :tup:

I received an invitation to attend but can't go because DH is playing golf at Pebble Beach, so I'm stuck with the kid. Boy, is DH ever going to owe me! I'm thinking at least a new cashmere shawl.

Wow ! Thanks for letting us know how it was. I did not make it - a good thing in so many ways.

It was a bit of a feeding frenzy Thursday: people trying on shoes in the housewares department, in the watch department too; RTW strewn all over the shelves and sometimes even on the floor (!) until the sales associates could sweep in and pick it up. The SAs were really busy.

Many international folks: I heard tagalog, indonesian, japanese, mandarin..... any TPFers?

I picked the Sale at Goyard instead of the "H" sale. The one at Goyard was frickin' amazing! Trunks, bag, card cases...all on sale. They've NEVER done one before so, I'm glad I went (I scored a bag and would have totally purchased more, had I the funds). Secretly, I am bummed to have missed the "H" sale but, their RTW is not made for gals like me (very round) so, I didn't miss much (whew!). Did anyone here go to the "H" sale? Was it awesome?

I didnt know Goyard was doing a sale. When does the sale end ATG?

I am amazed at the way the shoppers act at the sales,grabbing whole arm loads of rtw at a time and going off to a corner to try them on.I don't get it I have only been to one sale(actually the presale the night before) and I was so turned off by all the grabbing and craziness.Has anyone ever experienced this at the Hermes sales? I have no clue what kind of discount you could get on items that are 3000.00 and up.I could not get close enough to the clothes to even see anything, major shoving and total rudeness.

It was just the one night! So, you can see why I had to get to that one sale! It was a mad house there! They were sold out of small goods amazingly fast! The bags were snatched up just as quickly! I grabbed the stuff I wanted to ponder and then walked around to think it over. I was asked several times by my fellow shoppers if I was, in fact, going to purchase the items I was holding. One woman was extremely persistent. She asked me at least twice about my bag (I did end up getting it). It was so tough to decide what I wanted. They had several trunks I'd been coveting AND two bag styles I had been eyeing as well. I told my SA that I hope Goyard does this again--in another 3 years!

I really wish the SF "H" sale had better stuff in it. The RTW, while nice, just doesn't work for me at all. And, although I love their shoes, I don't usually wear the styles they sell. Why, of why can't SF get scarves to sell? I can't get to the Beverly Hills "H" easily--it's just painful to know that there IS a place in my state selling sale scarves and I can't go!

i went to the private sale around 6:30-7 that night and most all was gone. my SA was telling me that at 5pm the store was packed with people wanting at the clothing. nothing really fit me well, even the smallest shoes were too big, so i guess my card lucked out this time.

the discount was 40-60%. i was looking for a dress to wear for my friend's wedding next week since the one i got doesn't flatter me. i ended up getting scarves and a green medor twilly to mix with my purple one. btw, the prices go up on monday.

honey88 if you're game i'm up for meeting you at the next sale once i'm 30 pounds lighter and in full armor to defend against the madness.

I was in there today and by now only a few pairs of the fingerless gloves and no hats. Some shoes, but my feet are too narrow for H shoes so I didn't even stop to look. There was still a little RTW and maybe 10 leather coats. Looks like most everything had already been sold.

I wanted to go in to get some scarves before prices go up on Monday but didn't find anything I needed...sigh...

If you know what you want you can call up another store with a bigger stock *cough* Las Vegas *cough* They're opened until midnight and I got a kind email from my SA there asking if there was anything she could ship to me before the price increase. Really sweet of them to ask, but I can't decide unless in person and only thing that came to mind is something my SA here is looking for.

Just came from the sale in SF - mostly RTW, few shoes, hats, gloves
Picked up two hats, no shoes in my size : (

Private sale Thursday, July 30 through Friday, July 31 10am to 6pm
Then Saturday August 1 10am to 6pm.

I was just at the sale this morning also! Mishelbe, I wonder if we were there the same time. I picked up a beautiful black viscose dress, a olive green sleeveless shirt, and a brown cashmere wrap/scarf. They had some nice RTW so I hope some of the other tpfers were there. Good luck!
