The sale in Canada this year was in Vancouver. Next year, it will be in Toronto, then the year after that, it will be back in Vancouver. I hear they are going to rotate the sale between these two cities...

Every couple of years Toronto does an offsite sale with a charity - normally summer. The last one was a few years ago. I was just in the store last week asking whether they had heard anything about a sale and they said they normally only get about a 1 month notice - barely enough time to get the invites out.

You should just make sure you are in their database and you will get the notice. Line ups are long and people get there earlier but its worth it. The last one was held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Hermes didn't do their usual Winter sale this year because when they moved to their new location, they had an enormous sale to lighten inventory.

The charity sale in Toronto occurs every other year. The last one was either May or July of 2007 (I'd have to find my receipt for the date), so we're due for one this year! The line was long, but it wasn't impossible. (However, it was a bit of a zoo inside!) Scarves that usually sell for $375CAD were on sale for $200CAD. Men's ties sold for $100CAD.
