hello, i live in Los Angeles and my purse loving Aunt from overseas is asking me a favor of picking up an authentic Hermes Birkin or Kelly for her...I am not knowledgeable in Hermes stuff yet ( at least for now). I have gathered Fashionphile and Maxfield are the reputable ones. Which store offers more reasonable prices? Any other recommendations? I appreciate your feedback Hermes lovers! Thanks

shop - the only way to be 1000% sure is if you purchase from a boutique - if you are in LA, there is one on Rodeo in BH and another in South Coast Plaza in the OC. Decades (Vintage) is another I believe is accepted as reputable. HTH and good luck with your search. 
i second that if you are not familiar with Hermes, it is best to buy from the store directly.
i am not sure what you would consider "reasonable" prices. most vintage and/or new are most likely priced ABOVE the retail price due to the scarcity of the birkin. however, fellow tpfers have been known to get lucky and score a brand new one from the H stores directly.
