Yesterday's Wall Street Journal has an article saying that H had a strong 2008 revenue gain from it's Kelly &. Birkin bags. Leather goods are still doing well. Sorry I don't have a link for the article.

Not surprising, but it's probably based on the first three quarters, and the big price increase from early in the year. I've now had three SAs tell me that bag sales are WAY down, and it would certainly explain why I saw so many of the coveted styles when I was last in the store.
