This seems a little silly to me but has anyone gone and taken a look yet?

Hermes has a pop up shop in the lobby of the time warner building "The oval-shaped kiosk in the building's lobby was inspired by a diner and features a neon chalkboard "menu" of "Daily Silk Specials."

I might go just to grab a maxi twilly and just to see how it looks.

But it might be just me but I find this a little strange....

i stopped by this afternoon and the silk "booth" (for lack of a better word) is quite small but stocked with a few goodies - maxi twillies, twillies, ties, scarves, pochettes and GMs. (they had both cw 8 and 11 of LdR!) they also had enamels (all GHW) and clic clacs (mostly silver iirc). it does get a little too close for comfort when there are more than 8 people in there though.

the cute part is upstairs on the second floor in front of H&M where you can grab a drink at the bar and play mini golf decorated a la orange. they also have these large "enamel bracelets" as decor and a photo booth section.

it's not a destination per se but a cute stop if you're in the area.

Thanks Skimmy! Wasn't sure it was worth the drop by but thanks for the info. Might head over if I'm free.

DS1 and I stopped by yesterday. We loved it! The little diner/shop is tiny, with a good selection of maxi twillies, scarves, and (surprise!) a few cashmere GMs and 140cm silks. They lovely SAs directed us to go upstairs to the "event" which was very kid-friendly; Hermès-themed mini golf (with scarf-design bumpers and pochette flags), replica bangles made into a ring toss, and hula hoops; replica bangles so big you can walk through them, and a photo area where they tie scarves on you and take your picture. For DS, they put on scarf design boxing gloves and tied a green Graff twilly around his head. When the photos print out they also come through to an iPad and you can post them on Fb or email them to yourself. If you take a picture on your phone and post them on Instagram with certain hashtags, there's a separate printer where they print out. It was all done very well and lovely, DS and I enjoyed it!
