This will be my first Hermès accessory and I always go for the most classic and iconic in luxury brands. (next will be a square silk scarf with equestrian motif)
I liked the color étoupe / taupe which is neutral but more unique. Although I have an olive skin and thought the black is the real classic there...There is also the gold brown leather option. All with gold hardware, what do you think?

I feel as though every 5-10 years, the popular light neutral shifts from gold to etoupe to gold . So I would pick gold. I prefer phw with gold bc of the white contrast stitching and casual, modern vibe. But gold on gold may be the most popular these days. I think black is classic, but with GHW a bit conservative. JMO though . All three are lovely, and if you live this style, you may end up with more than one :)

Black is a bit harsh on anyone's wrist day in and day out. So I'd pick either etoupe or gold but with PHW which makes the neutral color more modern and young.

But more importantly, what color is your wardrobe, I would go from there. What color band is your wrist watch, that's probably a safe choice.

If it's going to be your one and only I'd get the black. My first H purchase was a black/ghw CDC, I wore the heck out of it, then I bought another - the same colour. I have ombre lizard/phw bracelet too, but nothing is as casual-smart as a black/ghw bracelet - unless someone has a very 'soft' look/wardrobe.

They are all great neutrals IMO. just think what suits you/your wardrobe best.

If you're a low or med contrast person or have a wardrobe that is, go for the gold if warm/golds suit you best or you have brighter or 'sunny' colours in your wardrobe including white/near whites, Étoupe if more generally neutral who either wears a lot of med-shade neutrals or conversely want a bracelet to go with every colour and not really stick out too much. Regardless of skintone/depth, go with Black if you want edgy but casual chic.

Very cool complete answer, thank you.
I am very much a black & white and neutrals (navy, grey) type of person. I only wear brown and beige shades in the summer, including leather. My one color is red.

In this case, it sounds like black is the answer. You said you consider it to be the most classic and you prefer classic options. It also sounds like it will look best with your coloring, AND it will be something you can wear all year with your current wardrobe.

There are no wrong answers here of course, but it does sound like the black one might be a little "righter" than the others.
