I am currently obsessed with the Massai on re-sale sites. Does Hermes still make the Massai? If not, when was it made and was it a popular bag? What do you think of the Massai? Easy to wear ?

Do not think it is still made. Have noticed that often the resale Massai bags are missing one of the two straps. I was once obsessed with the largest size. The big one can be very heavy if in Clemence rather than Gulliver (?).
Do you like the Massai Cut? It is a very practical bag but very different from the original Massai.

Thank you for the info. - no - I do not like the Massai Cut. I am interested in the Massai PM -

I loved the look of the Massai but ended up selling mine as well due to the functionality issues that @jmen mentioned. It was a pain trying to locate anything in the bag. If you only carry a few things/don’t reach for items in your bag often, then give it a go. It is very beautiful. I too prefer the look of the original over the cut.

I own Massai's in all three sizes. I cannot remember the last time I used any of them. They are beautiful but not very functional for my lifestyle. The GM is HUGE! I am 5'9" and it almost dwarfs me. The Massai's are very tall (top to bottom) but not deep (from front to back) so everything I put in the GM and the PM collects at the bottom of the bag, distorting the shape and making it look bulky and bumpy. The Massai Cut is more functional and it looks more proportional than it's larger siblings making it your best all-around bet. I wish I used my Massai Cut more but the one I own is in an odd color (for me) so it sits in my closet.

Your message consoles me about the black GM Gulliver that got away. I would have looked like a bag walking down the street......

The original was akin to playing grab bag with regards to finding something in the bag. At least the cut ended that game. Yep I sold the original and kept the vert bronze cut and no regrets.
A Massai in Vert Bronze?! Can we see a picture please? What a beauty this has to be!

I will try to post a pic this coming weekend. To my eye, it appears more brown with a green undertone, thus the word vert. It is not metallic as one might initially think when reading the word bronze. The leather is ever color or ever grain. Can never remember which but is so soft and has a velvety feel that is outta this world, at least to me.
