Hi ladies :) I'm new to the Hermes forum so I apologise in advance if this is answered elsewhere or if I've posted in the wrong place. I just wanted to ask whether Hermes ever go into sale? I have my eye on a beautiful 70cm scarf but every time I go to Harrods or down Bond Street they seem to be the only ones who never go into sale. Am I just unlucky and missing the sale?! Thanks.

There was a 2 day sale a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately I couldn't go since we were out of the country, so I can't say what kind of stock they had. But for future reference, it was held at the music room.

I went to the VIP evening at the London sale and it was very poor. No ties at all and a poor selection of women's shoes, apparently Paris are holding back shoes from the sale for some reason. Not really much choice in RTW either. Men's selection was better other than no ties of ourselves. No homeware and a few pairs of gloves, 4 or 5 I think. HTH

London sale has always been disappointing. That's why stopped going a few years ago. Can't be bothered. Never find anything.

Yes, the London sale was advertised as a Ready To Wear sale only and has been for quite a few years. The 'interesting' sales are in Paris and they are different every time so you have to be prepared to take your chances. Long, weary experience has taught me that if you want a particular thing in a particular colour and it suits you you should pounce and get it ( if you really, really want it) and not wait for a sale ( or indeed anyone or anything!).
