I bought a beautiful wallet on valentines and the stamp is wearing off. I went back to the store and they said it would take 4 months to send to paris and res-stamp. I am bummed considering that i haven't even had the wallet that long. Should they offer to just replace the wallet?

Why should they offer to replace the wallet? It's not beyond repair, or an obvious manufacturing problem, it's just a stamp.
It probably takes 4 months if you send it in now, because all the craftsmen are on holiday, or are about to be.
