Well the Glasgow one is within a dept store and that store (House of Frazer) is not doing so well so it could be that.

I very much hope that one day we'll see a really nice stand alone store in Scotland.

I know that H have been closing the franchised stores down too (happened to another in Switzerland) so perhaps it's all for the interests of parity.

How do you know if its a franchised store or not?
 
That's sad :( I don't know the specific reason for those, but with covid, people are purchasing more online than going into stores in general (at least where I am), so I'd imagine retailers being more strategic of where to allocate their operational spendings.
