Hi All,

I'm in Japan at the moment but will be stopping by HKG for 2 nights towards the end of Jan.

I would like to know are the prices better in Hong Kong or in Japan?

I am after the H belt for men.

p.s. anyone know the pricing?

I was in Kyoto the other day and I saw a H belt that included both the buckle and the belt itself for JPY86000.

I'm from Sydney Australia myself. Not sure on the pricing of these in Sydney but I would imagine AUD$1100+

k3nnis, I don't have the exact price but in general, prices are better in HK compared to Japan because HK is tax-free. In addition, I think the AUD had moved much stronger against the HKD (which is pegged to the USD) compared to JPY.

Thanks zenith. The only thing I am worried about it stock in HK? Do you or anyone know if H belts are aplenty in HK?

In JPY I can claim back 5% as I'm a tourist but not sure how much difference that makes compared to the HK pricing...

I think at the moment it's:
1 AUD = 7.2 HKD
1 AUD = 86 JPY

Japan prices will be more expensive than Australia, even with 5% tax, due to the current exchange rates, but they will definitely have more stock than HK

HK is far cheaper by comparison, but they should have plenty belts on offer, even at the Airport. It's not like you're trying to track down a Birkin in HK

was just in HK shops (Elements, TST and Peninsula), they have quite a few new men's buckles and belts.

i would say if you are not picky about colors, you can always find something. but the more popular men sizes such as 90-100 may have less choice. sorry, i didn't look at the prices but i would imagine that prices are cheaper than J (J is the highest in Asia, imo not just because it is Japan but also because Yen has been sooooo strong).

Thanks for the info. If my waist is 31 and 32 inches what does that translate to?

I'm just after the h buckle with the black leather. Are these all reversible?
