Hi fellow H lovers, I wonder if you have done any exchange in the H store?

I recently purchased a Kelly double tour bracelet through my SA at the local H store. The store did not carry the size and color I preffered, so my SA located one at another store for me and I paid through her, and had it shipped to the local store to pick it up.

I was not educated about the sizing of Double Tour at the time of the purchase, and thought the smallest size available would be S. But after that, I did a search on tPF, and learned that there is size XS (a rare find). Having a slim wrist, I m pretty sure that size XS would be a better fit for me - the store had a size small bracelet in a different style I tried on, and I recall it was more snugly on my wrist than I would prefer. My SA did not mention there is smaller size available for the Double Tour.

Is it a reasonable request I ask my SA to help an exchange? Or they could do some adjustment to downsize the bracelet? I wonder if any one has similar experience before.

My SA has been wonderful to me and I got both my Kelly and Birkin through her with literally only the walk-in effort. So this time, I really want her to benefit from my non essential bag purchases, however I also want to have the best fit bracelet.

I do not mind waiting long for an exchange if I have to.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

If the bracelet has not been used I don't see why the store would have a problem with the exchange. I'm sure it will be fine. I know that the size of the bracelet cannot be adjusted. HTH

You can exchange it, I believe its a 14 day policy (maybe someone else can chime in to be sure). But, I personally wouldn't hesitate to exchange it if it doesn't fit. I can't imagine you would tarnish your relationship w/your SA for doing so:smile1:

Thank you both for your timely replies and it is good to know that no adjustment to bracelet size. My SA has been on vacation so I am waiting for her to return next week to pick it up. But it will be over 14 days since the purchase for sure.

I would have no problem at any other stores in a similar situation, I guess I am nuts when it is H :-D

You should have no problem, but I wouldn't advise waiting for your SA to do it. Assuming that you are in the US, you should be able to get store credit.

In other countries where I've shopped, my SA actually advised me to hold on to the merchandise until she locates the EXACT item for me for an even exchange. This is done in case there is a price increase in the interim and with store credit, you would have to pay for the difference after the increase.
