Hermes Evelyne vs Chanel Gst

Ok, so I know that these bags are different one a cross body and one a tote, however if you have experience with them which do you find easier to use? I feel I may be getting bored with my lv neverfull, not sure, and I am thinking of a new bag to fill in for simple mom time with little kids not babies.

I have both and I'd say the Evelyne is easier to carry as you can wear it on the shoulder or crossbody. But it is really casual and you can dress the GST up or down depending on where you're going.

I love my Evelyne. I find it easy to carry and I love that you can get things in and out without taking it off. I love the look of the GST but I didn't find it easy to carry so I didn't keep it. For my taste, the Evelyne is a better simple mom bag.

I have a choice to make b/t a Chanel Pocket Tote with the 2 outside pockets and a Bleu Nuit Evelyne III. I am not a mom, but a gramma with grown grandchildren. I am not exactly trendy, but still have a strong style sense. I am really torn. I've been trying to find a Navy tote to schlepp around with to replace my LV Montaigne, but I can't decide which way to go. Any thoughts?

I used to have a GST and now I have an Evelyne. I have never had them both at the same time though.

I'd say the GST is far more dressy and gives off pretty '00s vibes to me. A very different aesthetic never mind a different style. It held more than the Evie but it was never easy for me to carry.

The Evie is an easy urban bag, can be a second bag too, depending on how much you're carrying. I use mine every day.

My vote goes to the Evie.
Such an easy bag to use, either shoulder carry or cross body.
Super easy to get in and out of.

Sigh . . . Thank you everyone! My family is rooting for the Chanel, but I do love everything Hermes and Evie is such an easy carry. And they do both have great, though different looks. After listening carefully and considering your input, I've made my decison with a well thought-out and clearly justified twist.

Since the navy is good for jeans and one particular coat and I can dress it up or down, I think I'll do the Chanel in the Navy.

THEN I will get an Evie in BLACK!!! Currently I use a Black Tom Ford Alix City Tote, but it's hard to wear over a coat so I do need another good every day black. I never thought about getting an Hermes in black. My other H bags are Raisin Togo and Encre Clemence because I adore the Hermes colors. But, really, what's better than an Evelyne III for every day? Now the question is what size Evie, the 29 or the GM?

The GM is REALLY big. If you're tall, though, and need to carry a lot, or you don't mind the huge bag look, it does mould to the body in Clemence.
A Black Evelyne will never go wrong!
