Hi Ladies,

I have a question about a Birkin. I was with a reseller last week to purchase a Birkin. The reseller had 4 Birkins. I did not buy one because I wanted to verify this:

Should each Birkin have a different number next to the year letter K. Or can they be the same?
Because two of the Birkins did have the same craftsmannumber.

If the reseller is a very reputable one, and you know for sure i.e.101% sure that the reseller deals only with authentic H bags, and know how to ID fakes, then you have nothing to worry.

It may just be pure coincidence that the reseller has 2 bags made by the same person. But I will believe this ONLY if I know the reseller is reputable, and has a long and stellar track record of reselling H bags. Otherwise, I won't believe a single word.

I would be careful in your position. Is the reseller reputable? Which country is this store? Before you buy, can you get clear pictures of the Birkin, and post in the Authenticate thread before parting with your money?

likwit, please be careful to only deal with the reputable sellers that the tpfrs here have had good experiences with. It's much too expensive an item to get caught in someone's web of deception. There is a good list of sellers in the shopping reference section. Good luck and safe shopping please.
