As captioned, anyone hv already got bags in this color? Please share as there are not many photos of this babe in IG. I’m thinking to get a mini C in this seasonal color or the classic etoupe with ghw.

what’s your opinion on this new color chai? Do you think it’s an all year rounder like etoupe and is it a neutral or classified as brown family? (Sorry I’m not very sensitive with color lol)

I’m thinking to wait for etoupe or Chai, seem Chai would be easier seem it’s seasonal? Or the other way round? Which color would you get if you only plan to hv one mini C?

Update: SA hinted chai c18 will be available next week~~~ faster than I expect as it is seasonal color? Still wondering if should go for etoupe or this new color, would be grateful for some more opinions from you ladies

and I just realise my beige vintage Chanel Dianna seem very similar color to this Chai color, of course they are of different style…..should I get etoupe for color variety or get this chai color and let go of Dianna ? (But then I got it in a good deal back then before multiple Chanel price increase)

Chai is lovely but it's a seasonal colour. It's a lighter, cooler version of gold; and a warmer brown than etoupe. I would firmly place chai in the brown colour family

Both chai and etoupe are year round neutrals, the bigger question for me would be around contrast stitching and if you want it (etoupe) or not (chai)

Sounds like your heart is set for Etoupe. It might be better for you to wait for Etoupe. Did you ask when the Etoupe c18 will arrive?

I had a chance to see Chai bag in swift leather last week and it was extremely beautiful.

I was carrying my etoupe Kelly in epsom (which is my favourite at the moment though I used not to like etoupe) and if I could I would have traded my etoupe Kelly for the Chai in swift.

It was very soft milky brownish color, lighter and more subtile than my etoupe. Please note that the swift leather takes colours in a very beautiful way, so it could be of influence too, but I was very impressed with Chai. Unfortunately I did not make any pictures since the store was in a different country and I did not feel comfortable making pictures.

I’m just swaying between this new color and the classic (etoupe or gold), currently I’m leaning slightly towards chai more, as my friend pointed out that I have an etoupe lindy already so I might neglect her if I have bag of same color, another one I’m tempting is gold, but I have cuivre so it’s kinda similar to that too, so chai seem like a better choice now….unfortunately photos in IG not very helpful as some show chai is light brown with yellow undertone (then it would be similar to my vintage beige Diana?) but some show it got pinkish undertone……I think I have to see it to decide….

since I don’t do bag trade and unlikely buy another mini C, so I have to really think carefully before pulling the trigger ~~~

Perhaps you can consider bringing your Diana bag and compare it in real life. Chai looks more neutral than Biscuit for Epsom leather. Which leather is the c18 in chai?

If you do not trade your bags, I would go for Chai. If you do once in a while change your collection, I would go for a classic colour. Seasonal colours can be extremely popular for a while but it can change quickly. Permanent colours are always in. I would definitely prefer Chai over Gold, and slightly over Etoupe at the moment. It could be because it is a novelty for me or because I do not have Chai in my collection, but.....

I do not remember Chai having any yellow undertone though.

If your vintage beige Diana is similar to Beige Claire, Chai will be darker, more brownish and not have that yellow undertone.

Yes that’s my plan too to bring my Diana in for comparison ~~~ but I know with H once my SA open the box it would be extremely difficult for me to say no to her XD

despite chai is seasonal color, I think as a neutral light brown color it would somehow always be on trend? Like trench and grid mouette they released few years back and it seems to me that ppl would still look for those color

It is a neutral but once the trend dies out, you may not be able to get a high resale value that Etoupe can fetch.
